This innovative new ribbon combines a metallic silver panel with color dyes to create unique eyecatching metallic or 3D text visual effects on the card. Use cases:

• A silver panel can be added to the entire card making the whole color image pop and look metallic. This can be done for any full color card design. The dye receptive panel can also make dye sublimation printing possible for card materials that traditionally don’t work well with DTC technology.

• Silver panel can be used to print names and/or account numbers on the card. This is useful for financial cards. Silver text is printed below the color image, making the final result appear 3D. Variable information can be printed using the S panel when a multi-page print job is sent to the driver: 1st page prints with S, 2nd page prints with color.

• A logo or an area of the card can have a 3D effect to make it stand out. Create a shape of the logo or image and store it as a bitmap image. When a color image is printed on top, the resulting effect is sure to stand out! This is ideal for ID badges in applications where the brand image and visual appear of the card counts (corporate logos, membership cards, VIP hospitality badges)
